The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Crops is now up and running.
It was initiative earlier this year and officially launched last week.
Mark Brock of Grain Farmers of Ontario is one of the group's co-chairs.
He says it will provide a national forum to showcase Canada's performance in the area of agriculture sustainability.
He says it will also engage all Canadian grain value chain stakeholders in responding to marketplace demands.
The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Crops plans to hold full roundtable meetings at least one a year, with sub-committees working on initiatives throughout the year.
It's current membership includes a number of grain organisations, like Grain Farmers of Ontario and the Canada Grains Council, as well as other stakeholders like McDonalds, Cargill and the Canadian Fertilizer Institute.
