Imperial says there was a fire just before noon Tuesday on board a third-party ship docked at the company's Sarnia site.
The company said the fire was contained to the boat, the ship’s crew was able to quickly put it out, and all on board were accounted for.
The Imperial Sarnia fire department attended, but the fire had been extinguished by the time they arrived.
The Sarnia Fire Rescue Service was also called to assist.
"We hope the Green Arm Band initiative will reduce some of the challenges and barriers the younger officials will face," said OMHA President Peter Harmsen.
The Inter Township Fire Department (ITFD) celebrated a combined 90 years of service to the Georgian Bluffs and Meaford communities.
