Truck fire slows Mount Forest Main Street

Wellington North Fire Service (WNFS) said there were no injuries after a Waste Management truck caught fire in Mount Forest this morning.

Local firefighters were called to the intersection of Main Street and Sligo Road around 7:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a natural gas recycling truck that was on fire. The truck was empty having just dumped it’s load.

WNFS said the driver was out of the vehicle and there was no injuries to report. The cause of the fire is unknown.

The road is still restricted as fire crews wait for the truck to be towed.
